MY AUTOBIOGRAPHY

A friend suggested that I record the book as a series of Podcasts.  Not a bad idea and gives me something to do??

I need to edit the book and only have 2 copies as the Publishers omitted to offer the books to me before they were pulped - so I've had to get one off the Internet and very much liked the precis they'd made of my life.

Here are a few

On temporary loan from BBC Radio, to BBC Television news and coverage of the Iranian siege in 1980, Jan Leeming gained a more permanent contract and unsought fame which in turn helped and hindered her life. Here, she talks about her not always trouble-free BBC years and the men she has loved.

Twice voted Newsreader of the Year, and also Pye TV Personality, Jan Leeming started her working life as a secretary before achieving her ambition to become an actress, not at home but in Australia. A personal tragedy drove her back to her native England, where, unable to earn a living in theatre, she turned to television. Jan worked for many years in regional TV, newsreading and fronting magazine programmes before hitting the big time. On temporary loan from BBC Radio to BBC Television News and coverage of the Iranian siege in 1980 led to a more permanent contract and unsought fame which in turn helped and hindered her life. In Addicted to Love she talks passionately about her not always trouble-free BBC years and also about her personal life and the men she has loved. Includes many previously unpublished disclosures.

About the Author
Jan Leeming's popularity with the public could be attributed largely to her human fallibility and onscreen warmth. Married five times, she has a romantic and naive perspective on relationships. (Got me in one!)

If the Podcasts prove popular I might be encouraged to write a follow up covering the last 20 years during which time much has happened.

If I get a following I shall also record Podcasts of the interesting element which the BBC omitted from my original submission when they made the Jewellery Programmes fronted by a Comedian.

Take care everyone.
